Pottery Group Workshop - Tue 11.30am

Service Description

This workshop starts on 7 January 2020 from 11.30 - 1.30 pm and runs weekly until and including 3 March 2020. There will be no workshop during half-term week (Monday 17 – Friday 21 February 2020). Topics for the course may cover: • Throwing • Pinch Pots • Coiling • Slab Technique • Tile Technique • Slip-casting Technique • Pottery Decoration • Glazing The course consists of eight weekly sessions, with two hours per session. At the start of the course, I cover safety and give an introduction to all techniques. What we cover will depend on the wishes and ability of the students. By gaining a little experience in each of the methods, it gives the individual an opportunity to go on to develop their chosen techniques in further courses. Suitable for all levels, no prior knowledge of pottery is required to attend these classes. My workshops are small, with a maximum of 6 students per class, so I am able to give you dedicated support and full access to the equipment while you learn. Clay and glazes are provided for each lesson. Firing costs are not included - costs will be calculated at £4.50 per pound of clay. Cancellation Policy

Refunds and cancellation policy i) Unfortunately, since I work on my own for myself, no refunds can be given after lessons have been paid for and confirmed. In special circumstances, where due notice is given and if possible, I will try to accommodate a change in students’ requirements but this is in no way guaranteed. ii) For bookings for groups of eight sessions, no flexibility is given regarding the option for students to make changes to the scheduled bookings or to compensate missed lessons. No refund will be given for any unused sessions after the course end date. iii) For bookings for groups of four sessions, no flexibility is given regarding the option for students to make changes to the scheduled bookings. iv) For bookings for private sessions, no flexibility is given regarding the option for students to make changes to the scheduled bookings. v) For gift vouchers, lessons or courses must be booked and confirmed within one month of issue. Bookings are subject to availability. Where no booking is confirmed after one month of issue, the gift voucher expires and no refund is given. Communication with Jose Carvalho Ceramics i.
